  1. This is so true. When my dad was brought home for hospice we knew we were going to lose him. However, the hospice nurse he had was PHENOMENAL! She took great care of him but was also helping my mom thru the most difficult time of her life. The nurse brought in an aide to help as well as a massage therapist. I know for a fact my dad loved the nurse, the aide and the massages. They helped to make his last days with us comfortable and peaceful. When my dad passed shortly after going hospice the nurse came to the house and she was sad and cried with my mom and me. Her compassion and gentleness during all of the care helped us thru a difficult and sad time. I think anyone who works with hospice care has to have a great big heart filled with love and it really showed with the nurse who helped my dad.
