Inspired to RUN

On Dec. 18, 2012, 32-year-old, Dan Cavanaugh had a heart attack. Thanks to the cardiovascular team at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, he’s still alive. And after successfully completing the medical center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, Dan ran the Shamrock Shuffle 8K run last year with members of his care team, including Dr. Peter Stecy, his cardiologist; Dr. Justin Maroney, cardiac fellow; and Seth Teske, RN. Here’s his touching story.
