6.08.17 Francis Crick – 101 years ago, Francis Harry Compton Crick, British molecular biologist and co-discoverer of the double helix structure of DNA molecules, was born in Northampton, England. Crick, along with collaborator James Watson, was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1962 for his work and “its significance for information transfer in living material.” He continued conducting research until his death in 2004.
