  1. These numbers are staggering and so sad. Children and most often defenseless and have no voice. I pray for every innocence lost 🙁

  2. THAT IS REALLY SAD!! THOSE NUMBERS ARE HIGH!! I THINK THAT IT IS BECAUSE ANYONE CAN GO INTO A COURT ROOM MAKE UP A BUNCH OF LIES THEN YOU HAVE TOUR SO CALLED EXPERTS MEDIATORS WHATEVER WHO THINK THEY KNOW WHATS BEST FOR THE CHILD AND THEY DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FAMILY OR HISTORY IN THE END THE ABUSER IS GRANTED FULL CUSTODY AND THE CHILD IS PUT IN A ABUSIVE SITUATION SAD BUT VERY VERY VERY TRUE I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS ONLY A SMALL PART OF THE PROBLEM BUT THE COUT OR DCFS SHOULD START THERE

  3. No matter how many times I see the statistics, they break my heart. I spend some of my free time volunteering as a domestic violence and sexual assault advocate, I fully recommend doing the same, or donating to your local women and children’s shelter. Making sure your government leaders prioritize these issues is also CRITICAL to organizations that provide support to women and children– a phone call / email / letter to your senator (state or federal) goes a LONG way!
