Adult Down Syndrome Center celebrates 25 years

Patients, families, friends and Advocate Health Care leaders wish a happy 25th anniversary to Advocate Medical Group’s Adult Syndrome Center. The Center was established on January 17, 1992, in an effort to better support and enhance the well-being of adolescents and adults with Down syndrome. When the Center first opened, it was a twice-a-month clinic housed in one of the hospital’s medical buildings. Over the past 25 years, the Center has grown into a primary care practice with more than 7,500 patient visits annually and is housed in a new 6,500 square-foot facility expressly designed for patients with Down syndrome.
