  1. At what age should pap smears be discontinued? I am 70 yrs of age and was told by my ob/gyn that he wants to do paps every 2 yrs (I am on Medicare and they will only cover paps once a year). I have never received an abnormal pap in the 50+ plus years I have been getting them.
